Samples seized across the United States by the Drug Enforcement Administration over an 18-year period (1980–1997) showed that THC content in hashish and hashish oil averaging 12.9% and 17.4%, respectively, did not show an increase over time. West Coast in 1974 averaged about 15% THC. Hash oil seized in the 1970s had a THC content ranging from 10% to 30%. Following an outbreak of vaping related pulmonary illnesses and deaths in 2019 NBC News conducted tests on different THC vape cartridges and found cartridges containing up to 30% Vitamin E acetate and trace amounts of fungicides and pesticides that may be harmful. Dealers sometimes cut hash oils with other oils. The tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) content of hash oil varies tremendously, since the manufacturers use a varying assortment of marijuana plants and preparation techniques. 4.1 Solvent-derived/hydrocarbon extracts. It is generally thought to be indistinct from traditional hashish, according to the 1961 UN Single Convention on Narcotic Drugs (Schedule I and IV), as it is "the separated resin, whether crude or purified, obtained from the cannabis plant". Hash oil is an extracted cannabis product that may use any part of the plant, with minimal or no residual solvent. Cannabis retailers in California have reported about 40% of their sales are from cannabis oils. Color most commonly ranges from transparent golden or light brown, to tan or black. Preparations of hash oil may be solid or colloidal depending on both production method and temperature and are usually identified by their appearance or characteristics. Hash oil may be sold in cartridges used with pen vaporizers. Hash oil is usually consumed by smoking, vaporizing or eating. There are various extraction methods, most involving a solvent, such as butane or ethanol. It is a cannabis concentrate containing many of its resins and terpenes – in particular, tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), cannabidiol (CBD), and other cannabinoids. Whether you are an old school hash head looking to add a bit of nostalgia to your cannabis routine or a modern connoisseur, looking for a natural way to crank up your flower sessions, we think you will enjoy our Winewood pressed bubble hash pucks.Hash oil, also known as honey oil or cannabis oil, is an oleoresin obtained by the extraction of cannabis or hashish. Once the hash is burning, it should stay lit for a while allowing for a relaxing, if slightly intense smoke session. Using a lighter or hemp-wick, light a corner of the bowl and allow the hash to be combusted by the burning herb. This top layer will act as a buffer between your lighter flame and the hash and allows the hash to slowly smolder for a more pleasant smoking experience. Once the hash is loaded into the bowl, cover the hash completely with more ground flower. Lightly pack a very small amount of ground cannabis flower on the bottom of the bowl to create an organic “filter” for your hash. Prepare the hash by breaking up the desired amount into small pieces. Small chunks of evenly distributed hash will help the joint roll smooth.Īnother age-old technique that doesn’t require any previous canna-skills is layering the hash in a traditional cannabis pipe or bong. Roll the joint as usual but before folding the paper onto itself, sprinkle the broken-up hash onto your bed of ground flower. Break up the desired amount of hash (1/8th to 1/4th of a puck) into small pieces. The first technique is easy, provided you know how to roll a joint. You can use it however you like including edibles (with some minor preparation) but we found two techniques that seem to work the best: With hydrocarbon extracted extracts and dabable non-solvent products dominating the market we were stoked to respond to the numerous requests for Bubble Hash.Īll the old school heads that talked us into making the Hash don’t need this advice but our retail sales staff has had multiple questions on how best to use it. The resulting product was an amazing blonde colored hash with a sweet smell, a spicy aftertaste and a kick! Bubble hash.Īfter a dozen or so customers expressing some variation of “I’m looking for hash, none of that Wax or Rosin bullshit!”, we pulled the bubble bags out of storage, brushed up on our hash making tech and washed some hash. One reoccurring request we had was for “Old School Hash” aka. We interact directly with every customer and get their feedback on past purchases, current product and future harvests. At Winewood, we have the privilege of producing our own cannabis and selling it exclusively on-site and directly to the customer. “Big Cannabis” has the budget to conduct “market research” and has algorithms to analyze the purchasing patterns of its consumers but we have a different plan, we speak with our customer directly. One strategy we, as a local business, plan to utilize is developing product around what our customers are requesting when interacting with our budtenders.

Since then, search engines (Google, Amazon) and social media have drawn advertising dollars away from television, resulting in less funds going towards the making of Australian drama.Īustralia is not unusual in this regard. The introduction of multi-channels from 2009, like 7mate, 9Life and Eleven, challenged the business of commercial broadcasters, incurring new costs but with no increase in television advertising spending. The slow death of Australian children's TV dramaĪlthough many might assume the challenges facing Australian TV drama are a result of the 2015 arrival of streaming services, our data illustrates the disruption began much earlier. These quotas were removed entirely in 2021, with big implications for animation producers. This has largely been caused by Seven, Nine and Ten increasingly using animation to fill their children’s drama quotas from the mid-2000s. Rather, the number of episodes for each title has dropped significantly across all commissioners - commercial broadcasters, national broadcasters, Foxtel and the streamers.Īnother trend is the shift in children’s drama production from live-action drama to animation. Interestingly, the number of titles produced yearly has not changed much. Rather, there are implications for Australian-owned companies that might lack the resources (money to develop new ideas, international sales networks) to go head to head with foreign-owned firms.Īnd with 38% of Australian drama now made by foreign-owned companies, this means taxpayer supports, such as the proposed 30% tax rebate for producers of Australian films and TV shows, are going to overseas firms. Our concern here regarding foreign ownership isn’t one of foreign influence (as might be the case when considering news). Still, these hours of Australian-made drama matched Foxtel’s that year. The introduction of streaming services in 2015 provided minimal additional Australian drama hours, with 22 hours commissioned by all providers in 2019. This trend was especially pronounced after 2009 when the ABC received significant extra funding for drama and children’s programs for three years. From 44 hours in 1999, the ABC’s annual local drama output had fallen to just five hours in 2006. In contrast, national broadcasters, mostly the ABC, increased their drama hours. Still, even with the inclusion of soap operas, hours of adult drama on commercial channels fell by 45% over this time. We excluded long-running soap operas such as Neighbours or Home and Away from this count because soaps account for so many hours of Australian drama they obscure the changes elsewhere. Our analysis of that data, published in the Australian Drama Index, found hours of adult, prime-time drama produced by commercial broadcasters Seven, Nine, and Ten fell by 68% between 19. Our research explores how new technologies enabling multichannels and streaming services, combined with changes in the global TV business, have impacted homegrown drama.Īs a first step, we assembled a database of all the Australian TV drama series produced since 1999. The shrinking length of the average Australian TV drama reflects other substantial changes in production over the last two decades. Said one aerial eyewitness: “The clouds beneath the aircraft and in the distance were lit up by the powerful flash. Windows in faraway Norway and Finland were shattered by the force of the blast. Everything within three dozen miles of the impact was vaporized, but severe damage extended to 150 miles radius-enough to entirely annihilate any modern major city, including suburbs. At 40 miles high, it penetrated the stratosphere. The mushroom cloud was 25 miles wide at its base and almost 60 miles wide at its top. The Tsar Bomba’s yield was 50 megatons: ten times more powerful than all of the ordnance exploded during the whole of World War II. The detonation was astronomically powerful-over 1,570 times more powerful, in fact, than the combined two bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Even so, the crewmen were told that they only had a 50 percent chance of survival (they barely made it.)Ī Tupolev Tu-95 strategic bomber. The bomb would be attached to a parachute to slow its descent to detonation at 13,000 feet, giving the bomber and its escort additional time to escape at least thirty miles away before detonation. A Tupolev Tu-95 strategic bomber was designated to deliver the device from 34,000 feet. Sakharov also played a significant role in designing this weapon, which incorporated multiple inter-reacting stages and was 26 feet long, almost seven feet in diameter, and weighed almost 60,000 pounds. The site chosen for testing this device was Mityushikha Bay on Severny Island in the Arctic Circle. Great Britain emulated these with open air atomic weapons tests in the late 1950s (France would follow with tests in Polynesia in the 1960s and beyond.) While the Americans focused on perfecting accurate delivery systems for small to medium size atomic devices, however, the Soviets concentrated on building larger and larger devices of almost unimaginable power. Courtesy of The Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT) photo stream.įrom there the United States and the Soviet Union carried out a further series of open-air tests of atomic weapons. Is ITF North Korean?Īfter a while, North Korea started to send native instructors to establish taekwon-do clubs in Europe and North America, and this is the reason why the ITF became known as “North Korea Taekwondo” and “South Korea Taekwondo”. The North Korean school of Taekwondo is sometimes referred to as the ITF. The International Taekwon-do Federation allows punches to the face and throws punches from above the hip. All of the disciplines, techniques, forms and basic principles are the same at all of the “authentic” dojangs in 156 countries. ITF Taekwondo uses the scientific theory of power to perform patterns, self- defense, many types and levels of sparring. The main difference between the two is that the ITF is a place where students can learn the art of Taekwondo, while the WT is a governing body that focuses on rules and regulations. The Women’s Tennis Association and the Association of Tennis Professionals are governed by the International Tennis Federation. Wheelchair tennis, beach tennis, and world tennis are all played by the International Tennis Federation. Wild Cards are not subject to this provision. The physics are incredible too, from the realistic suspension to the difference in handling as you churn through mud, or the need to use your winch in tough scenarios, it all feels precisely how you think it should. The smaller, nimbler vehicles are much lighter and you’ll probably find yourself overcompensating, leading to some amusing weaving as you attempt to right yourself. Trucks are often sluggish, especially with loaded trailers attached, requiring wider turning circles and almost tactical thinking as you try to swing around a corner without scraping your trailer on a signpost or roadside barrier. Thankfully, the handling model is just as robust as it was in MudRunner, meaning that difficult journeys are entirely possible with a bit of patience. Using my then-new Scout, I took on the Trials-like trails that snaked their way up each peak, carefully switching between regular and low gears as necessary, giving traction in the muddier and steeper areas. You see, SnowRunner isn’t just about delivering building supplies (or any kind of supplies, really), you’re often encouraged to check out the scenery and one early example is when you’re challenged to reach two peaks. Even more so when you discover the Scout vehicle, which lets you explore some of the more muddy and even vertical terrain. It’s that openness that makes the game so good, though. It really shines a big ol’ light on the “videogamey-ness” of SnowRunner, which feels at odds with the relaxed, more open nature of the game. Which sometimes requires the upgrades you can’t access yet. You can upgrade your vehicles to deal with tough terrain, but most of that can only be unlocked through completing contracts and getting promoted. Even the trucks you discover in-game are often ill-equipped for off-roading, and you’ll spend at least half your time on dirt roads. In many ways, the Alaska issue mimics the issue the original game had, in that you’re not really equipped for the terrain for a while. Thankfully, you can recover the vehicle via the Function menu, which sends you back to the area’s garage. Well, you can try, but it will likely result in your truck being bogged down in the snow and unable to move. You can still have a look around if you want, though, as the game is very open to letting you do whatever you feel like doing. During the tutorial, you can head over to Alaska for a moment, before you’re essentially told you shouldn’t be here yet, go back to Michigan. Strangely, however, considering the title, you don’t really get to experience much in the way of snow for quite some time. I even used my Scout, a nimble utility vehicle, to unlock Watchtowers along the way and make sure the road ahead wouldn’t leave the fuel tanker bogged down in deep mud. Then I jumped into another truck, this one with a walled flatbed on the back, to bring in supplies to open up the road. During one early trip, I used a truck to pull a fuel tank trailer, stopping along the road when confronted with a broken bridge or a rockslide that blocked the route. You’re not rushed, you are free to take on as many jobs as you like, with some even requiring the use of multiple vehicles. The great thing about this series is how laid back it is. You’ll also be finding missing trailers and reconnecting the communities of each area, whether in snow or mud, giving the game a little more of a true open world feel. Much like MudRunner, this new game has you driving in trucks and various other utility vehicles, taking on jobs to deliver goods and discover Watchtowers to help plan your routes. Saber Interactive has returned to its series, this time moving even further afield as it heads out to Alaska in SnowRunner. It wasn’t perfect, neither was its American Wilds expansion, but both offered a satisfying delivery experience well before Kojima tried his hand at off-road delivery games. MudRunner was something different in the driving genre, a strange mix of truck driving simulation and off-roading that somehow ended up being one of the most relaxing games I’ve played.
